This photo was taken in 1989 at Kurt’s girlfriend (Tracy Marander) apartment in Olympia, Washington, by the time “Bleach”, Nirvana’s first album, hit the stores. Besides the fact that he really liked Strawberry Quick, Kurt suffered from chronic stomach pain and believed that Quick coated his stomach, helping ease the pain. Photo taken from the book Cobain Unseen, by Charles R. Cross. Unknown photographer.
